Jim Bellows’s nephew

Editor & Publisher has named the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel’s Marty Kaiser the editor of the year. It’s really a great newspaper. (Milwaukee is my hometown.)

Marty is the nephew of Jim Bellows. He went along with Los Angeles Times women’s page editor Maggie Savoy (Jim’s wife) when she covered the 1968 convention in Chicago. The story is in Jim’s book, The Last Editor. Much of the book is available through Google books.
