This image is of top women’s page editors Carol Sutton and Koky Dishon. They are speaking at a Penney-Missouri Workshop. They were also personal friends. I have article about Koky coming out this Spring. My article about Carol has been revised and resubmitted.

Vivian Castleberry reference
Today I am working on a chapter of the book I am writing about Dallas women’s page journalist Vivian Castleberry. Vivian is included in the above book, Reporting the Kennedy Assassination. She was at the Trade Mart building during the assassination. I visited Vivian and her husband Curtis last summer. They were wonderful hosts.

Marjorie Paxson letter
This is a letter I got from the legendary women’s page editor and later Gannett publisher Marjorie Paxson. I published an article about Marj last Spring. I am working on getting her nominated into a journalism hall of fame.

More Molly Ivins
I have a travel grant to go through Molly’s papers at the University of Texas. In the WPCF oral history project, Molly said the following about Dallas women’s page editor Vivian Castleberry: “Vivian had a remarkable sensitivity to news that women wanted to know and how that news should be covered by women, for women.” I plan to go through Molly’s papers this Spring.
