Edee Greene divorce
I received the Fort Lauderdale News women’s page editor Edee Greene’s divorce decree. It was granted in 1951 for extreme cruelty and was not contested by her husband. (He left her for one of Edee’s friends.)
She received no alimony and had to raise three children by herself. That’s what led to her first professional journalism position at the Orlando Sentinel.
