It has been announced that The Icons of American Cooking will be published in January of 2011. I wrote a chapter about James Beard – who was a friend of 1960s L.A. Times food editor Jeanne Voltz. I had hoped to write a chapter about Jeanne but she did not make the cut.

I am curious if any food editors – which often included the position of women’s editors – will be part of the book.
