Beverley Morales’s daughter

Yesterday I received the death certificate of Beverley Morales’ daughter Maria Morales. The toddler drowned in the family swimming pool in 1967. (Beverley was the women’s page editor of the Sun-Sentinel at the time.) I am putting together a timeline of Bevereley’s long career. In addition to being a journalist, she was an advocate for Native Americans in her home state of Montana.

From the death certificate, I learned that Maria’s middle name was Helena. (Beverley was from Montana.)

Following Mari’s death, Beverley moved to Ohio and became a women’s page editor at a Dayton newspaper.
