Kathryn Robinette Article in The Tustenegee
My article “Kathryn Robinette: Redefining Society News in 1960s Palm Beach,” was published yesterday in The Tustenegee, the journal of the Palm Beach Historical Society. Robinette will be part of my book about women’s page journalists coming out in 2018.

Baltimore Sun: Fun With Sea Food
I tracked down this recipe booklet “Fun With Sea Food” published by the Baltimore Sun in the 1950s. The author is Virginia Roeder who had a background in home economics and a PhD from Johns Hopkins University. I am researching more about her but it has been a challenge as she married and changed names several times. She will be included in my upcoming book about women’s page journalism.

The Recipe Project: Who Says We Can’t Cook!
Here is my contribution to The Recipe Project! The cookbook was a fundraising project for the Women’s National Press Club. I will analyze more recipes from the cookbook in my 2017 Food Studies Conference talk.
