Eleanor Hart papers
Lance and I spent Friday in Miami going through the papers of Miami Herald women’s page columnist Eleanor Hart. Her papers are at the Historical Museum of South Florida. Eleanor worked for Dorothy Jurney in the 1950s and then Marie Anderson in the 1960s. Her columns are a great representation of social history. Included in her papers were letters from readers and social agencies. I plan to write an article about Eleanor’s columns.

Eleanor Hart research
I have just confirmed our plans to go through the papers of Miami Herald columnist Eleanor Ratelle. (She wrote under the name “Eleanor Hart.” Her columns ran in the women’s section.) Her scrapbooks are at the Historical Museum of Southern Florida in Miami. Eleanor reported to women’s page greats Dorothy Jurney and then Marie Anderson. I am working on a revise and resubmit on Dorothy. I published an article about Marie in Spring 2007.
