Bonnie Cashin
I just ordered this Bonnie Cashin Coach bag. Washington Star fashion editor Eleni Epstein interviewed Bonnie many years ago. I found the transcript in Bonnie’s papers at UCLA. My article about Eleni is under review at a history journal. UPDATE: I received back the comments for a revise-and-resubmit and I am working on it.

J Edward Murray image
I recently found this early photo of editor J Edward Murray (often known as JEM). He was women’s page editor Maggie Savoy at the Arizona Republic. I’m working on collecting information on supportive male editor including JEM and Jim Bellows. Here is a later photo of JEM.

Beverley Morales
Yesterday I received CDs of an oral history that women’s page editor Beverley Morales conducted for a Montana History group. It was great to actually hear her voice as she interviewed her subject. I am still collecting information about Beverley.

Bobbi McCallum’s Seattle Post-Intelligencer
I was so sad to hear that the print edition of the Seattle P-I will end tomorrow. Here’s a link to the story. This fountain, a tribute to the late women’s page journalist Bobbi McCallum, sits out front of the P-I building. My article about Bobbi comes out next month. My thanks to P-I editor Janet Grimley for her help.
